Why Use WordPress for a Website

wordpress-logo-300x300Isn’t WordPress just for blogs?  No, not really.  Yes, when WordPress was first developed, it was designed as blogging software.  A way to easily create free blogs on the web without the need for a hosting company.  Today you can still set up a free account with WordPress.com, but you are severely limited as to what you can do with it.

The new way of the world in web design is called CMS – Content Management System.  What CMS does is gives the website owner full control over the content in their website.  No longer do you have to send your changes to your web designer and wait for them to be uploaded to your website, only to find that once you see it you want to make changes.   A CMS system puts you in complete control.

All my sites are now designed in WordPress – I find an ease of use and my clients are really happy with the outcome.  They not only have a professional looking website, but they also have a blog page which continually adds fresh content to their website, keeping the search engines happy, and the ability to interact with visitors via commenting.

How about you?  Do you have a website?  Are you happy with it?  Would you consider WordPress for your next site?

Wishing you continued success in all your endeavours…
